The Frisco School Board is expanding with preparations to construct a new middle school on the site neighboring to Norris Elementary, which is now under construction at 10101 Shepton Lane in Frisco and would open this fall.The District’s 16th, middle school doesn’t have a name yet which is expected to open in fall 2016 west of Norris. The School Board chose CORE Construction as the construction manager for the project.
The new middle school would relieve middle schools in the northeast quadrant of the District. The current prepositions are to open Lawler Middle School to relieve middle schools in the southeast quadrant of the District in fall 2017, as FISD has choices for relieving middle schools in that district before the time comes.
